Choose your system

On-grid, off-grid or hybrid?

The right plant type depends on your grid supply and how much backup you need.

Rooftop vs ground-mounted

Rooftop

Ideal where open ground is scarce. An empty rooftop can be put to use for power generation, and rooftop installations are known to reduce leakages and improve insulation.

Ground mounted

Works well on large open space and can give significant long-term savings. Ideal for institutions and industries where captive consumption is high and open space is available.

Government schemes

Subsidy and scheme support

Central schemes can improve solar economics. Details change, so always check current guidelines before you decide.

PM Surya Ghar

A national scheme supporting rooftop solar for households. Applications go through the official national portal. We can guide you on eligibility and the paperwork for your home in Jaipur.

Official portal

PM-KUSUM

For farmers: Component-A covers decentralised grid-connected solar plants up to 2 MW, Component-B covers stand-alone solar agriculture pumps and Component-C covers solarisation of existing grid-connected pumps. Redstar is currently executing several KUSUM Component-A plants.

Official FAQ

Check current guidelines on the official portals. Eligibility, subsidy levels and state rules can change.

Quality assurance

Quality documented at every step

QA/QC documents are produced for every activity: survey, design, procurement, erection, installation and commissioning. A dedicated, independent QA team checks the quality of all products and services.

  • QA Plan as a communication vehicle between promoters, project managers, technical engineers and design engineers
  • Independent QA team reporting on quality for all products and services
  • ISO 9001:2015 certified

  1. Pre-Feasibility Study

A first look at whether solar makes sense for your site.

    • Site visit and roof or land check
    • Shading and obstruction survey
    • Electricity bill and load review
  2. Feasibility Study

The technical and financial case, in detail.

    • Energy yield estimate
    • System sizing
    • Financial case and payback view
    • Regulatory check
  3. Detailed Design & Permitting

Engineering drawings and the approvals your plant needs.

    • Layout, structural design and single-line diagram
    • Bill of materials
    • Net-metering application to the DISCOM
    • Permits and approvals
  4. Procurement & Construction

Quality equipment sourced, then built and erected.

    • Equipment sourcing
    • Civil works and structure erection
    • Module and inverter installation
    • Cabling and earthing
  5. Testing & Acceptance

Checks before the plant goes live.

    • Insulation-resistance and polarity tests
    • String and inverter checks
    • Electrical inspection and DISCOM inspection
    • Net-meter installation and customer acceptance
  6. Operation & Maintenance

Keeping output high for the life of the plant.

    • Performance monitoring
    • Panel cleaning
    • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  7. Contracts & Final Closure

Clean documentation and a formal hand-over.

    • As-built drawings
    • Operator training
    • Hand-over documents and closure

Typical steps for rooftop and EPC projects. Exact approvals and sequence vary by state and DISCOM, and we guide you through yours.

FAQ

Questions we hear often

What is the difference between on-grid, off-grid and hybrid solar?

On-grid systems use net metering and suit places with a regular grid supply; they can be upgraded to hybrid with a battery. Off-grid systems include a battery bank and suit remote or unreliable-grid locations. Hybrid combines grid connection with battery backup.

Should I choose rooftop or ground-mounted solar?

Rooftop suits sites with little open ground and can reduce leakages and improve insulation. Ground-mounted plants suit institutions and industries with high captive consumption and open land available.

What does Redstar's EPC service cover?

Engineering design consultancy, equipment supply, civil planning, construction, erection, commissioning, training and management hand-over, with a single point of contact for the life of the system.

Do you provide maintenance after installation?

Yes. Our O&M services include preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection and testing, cleaning, repairs, replacements and training.

How long does a solar system last?

Solar systems offer a generation life of around 25 years, according to our brochure. Regular O&M helps keep output high.

Can I get a government subsidy?

Schemes such as PM Surya Ghar (for households) and PM-KUSUM (for farmers and solar pumps) may apply. Eligibility and amounts change, so we check current guidelines with you during the site survey.

Where do you work?

We are based in Jaipur and have completed projects in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, with plants and pump sets across Punjab, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh as well.

How do I get a quote?
